TALENT REPRESENTATIVE: How do I forward an upfront self-tape request to Talent while submitting?
This article explains how to forward an upfront self-tape request to their talent at the same time as submitting them for a role.
How do I know casting is requesting self-tapes with submissions?
The following symbol appears on a project if casting is requesting a self-tape in addition to your talent’s headshot:
Instructions
Once casting sends out a project with an upfront self-tape request, you will receive an email notification.
Locate the breakdown email and scroll until you see the Roles section.
Locate the upfront request by finding the blue highlighted Video Submissions Requested label.
Click on the Search button within that role ticket to access the role.
On the Search Criteria page, press the green Search button.
Select the talent you wish to forward the request to. You have two options:
Forwarding to One Talent: Select one talent’s headshot to forward the self-tape request to this talent.
Forwarding to Multiple Talent: Select multiple talent headshots to forward the self-tape request to these talent.
Once you have selected either one or multiple talent headshots, press the green Submit Talent Now button. This will begin the process to submit the talent and forward the self-tape request.
Type a self-tape note for talent in the Self-Tape Notes field (this is optional).
Press the green Submit button to review your submission before finalizing.
Press the green Submit Talent Now button to complete the process. This results in the following:
The self-tape request and note are forwarded to the talent.
Talent will be able to upload the video from their own profile.
Talent is submitted to the project.
Confirm the self-tape has been forwarded to talent:
If you have uploaded the video for talent: The upload button will now be a blue Play button. Press this to view the video you have uploaded.
If your talent uploads the video from their profile: The upload button will remain orange until the talent uploads the video from their profile. Once talent has uploaded the video, the upload button will turn into a blue Play button. Press this to view the video.
